Sun Princess is a polarizing new ship that’s full of tradeoffs. On the one hand it has roomy cabins, a vibrant main atrium, a dramatic dome-shaped multipurpose solarium and a large variety of food options from fast food to specialty dining. But these features come at a heavy cost. Even though this is the biggest ship in the Princess fleet, it has some of its smallest venues. The layout is very confusing with multiple dead ends. The ship also isn’t finished with disruptive construction or maintenance work happening on almost every one of the 40 days I was onboard. Some people love these tradeoffs …but a lot of others don’t.
