Main Dining Room menus on Holland America’s Zuiderdam

Here are the Main Dining Room menus from my Canada/New England cruise on Zuiderdam in June 2025. The “port to plate” menu items were generally disappointing but the main menu items were usually pretty good. The options on the first sea day lunch were excellent (see below).

Service in the Main Dining Room was usually fairly transactional so the servers didn’t provide recommendations or check in on your meal, which was also disappointing.

There were a lot of less desirable tables under bright fluorescent lighting or close to loud server stations – I would recommend asking for a table that isn’t close to either conditions so you don’t have to squint and shout to see and hear your table mates! We opted to take advantage of the option to order MDR meals through room service on several nights.

Day 1 dinner
