Crown Grill specialty restaurant on Emerald Princess: Menus and review

Interior view of Crown Grill restaurant featuring elegant wood decor, round dining tables set with white tablecloths and glassware, and atmospheric lighting.

I had dinner at Crown Grill several times during my 14 day Norway and Iceland cruise on Emerald Princess in July 2025.

The dining room is warm with traditional decor but they were playing pop music, which didn’t seem to quite fit with the rest of the setting.

Overall, the food was excellent but we found the service was inconsistent: Sometimes the server would provide recommendations, other times they would skip right to taking your order. Sometimes the maitre’d would check in on our table, most of the time he was chatting with fellow employees.

Crown Grill is considered a specialty restaurant with a $60 cover charge that’s waived if you have the Premier package.

Watch out for my full review of Emerald Princess coming soon. In the meantime, you can find links to reviews of other restaurants below.

Menu

Princess recently rolled out an updated menu that is very heavy on seafood and blue cheese – two things I can’t eat so the appetizer options were limited. One option is to request the Black and Blue Onion soup without the cheese.
